
Hans Zeiger
Author, Editor and Historian
Hans Zeiger is an author who writes about corporate and community history, philanthropy, public policy, and local communities. He has authored books about the Millennial generation and the Boy Scouts of America, as well as his hometown of Puyallup, Washington during World War II. He is currently completing a corporate history for a third-generation family business in the Midwest, editing the first-ever history book about the South Hill community in western Washington, and working on a memoir project for a longtime business leader in the Pacific Northwest.

Hans has worked extensively with other authors as a writing assistant and editor. He edited the memoir of a former presidential aide, conducted research and wrote chapter drafts for a biography of a former U.S. Secretary of State, provided research and editing for the biography of a prominent 19th century educator, and assisted in the writing of a book about the vocation of public service.

In addition, Hans' articles have appeared in the Seattle Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, American Legion magazine, Columbia magazine, and HistoryLink, and he was previously a contributing writer for Philanthropy Daily.

A Washington State legislator since 2011, Hans is a trustee of the Washington State Historical Society and a member of the Washington State Legislative Oral History Advisory Board.

Hans holds a BA in American Studies from Hillsdale College and a Master's degree in Public Policy from Pepperdine University. He undertook further graduate studies in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University.
